Posted - 10/13/2013 : 22:56:01 Awesome Rock glad you got good news!! Yeah doctors THINK they know everything but they don't The worst is when you're in a hospital and you have to practically beg information out of them, and if you ask too many questions they look down their noses at you like "how dare you question me, I am a doctor". And I always think, "Ummm who is paying WHOM here again?" It can be quite infuriating. Fortunately I haven't had to go through this for myself but I have been there for friends before and it ALWAYS happens that way. Soooo glad you got a second opinion, way to go!! |

Posted - 10/13/2013 : 18:34:16 I said above that my doctor mishandled this from the very first day. He told me that I had cancer and had less than a month to live. I didn't believe this. Other medical professionals didn't believe this either. So I am changing doctors. I have had the tests. I am now improving. The results? I am now NOT required to go into the hospital. It's amazing what changing doctors can do!!! I had less than a month to live??? I felt too good to die. Heck, I was here on PIOTW having fun on a daily basis. It's been OVER a month and I'm still here and feeling much better each and every day. So I take a pill everyday and in a few months I'll be back to normal. Nothing major. No hospital required. So don't believe everything a doctor tells you. A doctor is human and can and will make mistakes. Just get the tests to make for sure. I did and I'm going to live without a hospital. |

Posted - 10/09/2013 : 20:09:56 It has been a month and I am still sitting here at home. But that is going to change...very soon. I am changing doctors because my doctor has mishandled this from the very first day. So to update, I am going into the hospital on Monday morning October 14. I don't know for how long but I have been assured no longer than 3 days. So I should be back here on PIOTW Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday at the latest. The bad part about this is that every hour will be filled with every kind of test you can think of. But the really great part about this is my hospital has really fantastic food. So I am very much looking forward to the food...but not the tests. |

Posted - 09/10/2013 : 16:24:10 Thanks guys. This is appreciated more than you know. I was suddenly scheduled for tests in the hospital this past Friday. But I'm a gamer. I was competing on my favorite Leaderboard. So I have rescheduled these tests for this coming Monday, September 16. I might not be out of action at all. Maybe a day. Maybe 3 days. They might keep me in the hospital for 3 days (more or less) they say. It's according to what they find with these tests. We Know I have a really minor condition which we are treating. But my problems in the past 4-6 weeks have become so severe that we think there's a possibility I may also have something more serious. So we do these tests Monday and find out for sure what I'm up against. Hopefully it's just this minor condition. |
