The best concert I ever attended was this one:

I was in Hawaii in an amphitheater and it was so awesome I cannot even describe how great it was! It was a full moon, the stars were in the sky and shone brightly. It was so beautiful. And all the people there were so into it. Words just cannot describe it!

| It was. It was so beautiful!. Everyone there had such an awesome time; there was no conflict at all. I will always remember it so fondly. I have been to other concerts, but they did not even come close to the spirit that was there. |

That's the great thing about concerts, of -any- kind. You know that everyone is there for the same reasons, with the same thing in common, so there's rarely ever conflict at such events =]
We have "Party In The Park" and "Glastonbury", over here in the UK, Glastonbury is an EPIC experience! One of my top 3 best ever =D

| My next event, will be the "Northern-Lights", going with 3 friends. I've been told its a feeling of euphoria when the skies create this mind-blowing organic light show! =D Mother nature is a beautiful thing *amen* |

I admit I had to google Grand-Funk-Railroad, to read up about them. And you look a little like Mark Farner, Peterre lol =]
By all accounts they were a very big/successful band. Must have been a trip to hang out with them during that prime-time! |

yes sure a big trip :) , in the morning we where backstage with Mark , Mel and Don in the record shop for signing there paragraphs on the albums and later we ( 3 dutch guys, the onl;y three European (Dutch) visitors for that last concert) drinks beer and making lot of fun after the concert , superday :)

Brilliant! =] You were actually a part of the entire day, AND were the only 3 European's there! haha, I bet -they- still have the same memories of that day, as -you- do. Especially as it was the last concert!
So, you and your friends were a part of their music history, which is pretty epic =D |

Well, I have seen SOME concerts worth remembering. I saw Pink Floyd in Hannover (WOW!), the wonderful Annie Lennox as part of the Eurythmics, and definitely Runrig on the Loreley-Rock. Barclay James Harvest not to forget, Mike Oldfield (my first concert ever!)....and a few weeks ago I saw Tarja (which has been my last concert so far) You knowTarja (Ex-Singer of Nightwish)? Ah, and I had the pleasure of watching Peter Gabriel, Dire Straits, U2 (sigh), Sting, Simple Minds, Uriah Heep, Golden Earring.....and good ole' Tina Turner.
How about Musicals? My favourite is Les Miserable (Musical, not Movie)...and it will be in my heart forever...I saw it in London...and everybody in the audience was crying... |

That's an impressive concert history! An awesome collective of bands and musicians too.
Dire Straits, Simple Minds, Mike Oldfield and PINK FLOYD =D......I'm jelly! (envious)

I have to agree its rare in todays music, more is the pity...... -but-, the moment I hear -that- song, my mind transports as though its happening all over again, the exact same rush of enthusiasm and goose-bumps -still- occur....Pure escapism =]

Yeeeaaah...your so right. You know the Les Miserable Song 'Empty Chairs at empty Tables'? It alway gives me goosbumps up and down the whole body....plus....I start to cry....everytime at the same moment of the song..........'oh my friends my friends don't ask me..what your sacrifice was for...empty chairs at empty tables...where my friends..will sing...no more'.....*sniff* (see...it started again)
I have a DVD with the 10 year jubilee of Les Miserable...and when the singer perfomes this very song...he started to cry at the same moment..... |

I -really- didn't want to admit that I hadn't seen it, or, heard -that- song, because I feel slightly guilty as it -is- one of the most famous plays/musicals of all time.....Although, it -did- encourage me to google (again), to gain more insight and tantalise my ears =]
I can -hear- why you adore the emotional-charge it sends through your spine. While I cant possibly appreciate the music in its full and true form, I can understand how it would captivate so many peoples attention, as it has and still does. Its reputation speaks for itself =]
Another -Timeless- classic, where people the world over still fly across countries and continents to watch/experience Les Miserable.
And you sir are very musically cultured! (unlike myself, attempting to keep up with -you-) *smiles softly* |
