Since the game measures the speed of my mouse, I reach a speed around 300 mph. Of cause there might be quicker gamers with faster mouses...but..is it really possible to reach highscores of 8000+ mph? Or is there a trick?

yes there is a Trick to it.
but its tricky to do,
