There are a few games where there is a maximum score you can get on the game, and if you are the first person to get that maximum ever, your 1st place will be permanent (because it always sorts by date so earliest to get 1st keeps it).
One of today's daily challenges is such a game: Star Grabber
There are 3 levels, then the game ends. You get 10 points for every star you collect. It's possible to not miss any stars. I missed a few in the first level, then got the hang of it and didn't miss any for a long time. And I almost got 1st, (missed it by 10 points darnit). So this one's still up for grabs, whoever could get a maximum score on this game could keep 1st place forever :)
